The 3.6 kilometer long marked trail Sjöslingan begins at Osaby nature reserve’s parking lot. It leads through an area where the trees, to a large extent, fell due to Hurricane Gudrun in early 2005. Today leaves grow on the uprooted trees that made up a dense spruce forest a decade ago. A new landscape is forming and continuously changes shape. The walk also offers a nice view over the lake Vederslövssjön’s shore, and the possibilities to experience both black-throated loon and osprey. Sometimes the European pine marten makes an appearance. For those motivated to hike even further, the trail Hagmarksslingan might be a good option with 4,1km. Read more about the trails in the book Åsnen’s nature – Your Guide to unique experiences.
