Walking: Traipse to the chirping of the thrush

The 3,8-kilometre-long marked reserve path by Hunshult leads straight through Sirkön’s most bird-rich forest. During spring mornings, a massive choir of warblers, woodpeckers and thrushes awaits you. Some years even the red-breasted flycatcher can be heard. The path also passes the moor frog’s marsh, shadowy beech forests and old fruit orchards. The bays of Lake Åsnen can be spotted in several locations.

(Read more about the nature reserve Hunshult on p. 140 in the book Åsnens Natur – Din Guide till unika upplevelser. Currently, the book is only available in Swedish. To be released in English later in 2017.)
