Welcome on a tour around Åsnen! It’s easy to get about and experience the beautiful nature, on foot in your hiking shoes, on a bike with pedal power or on the lake surrounded by all the islands, many of which are unspoilt, almost like primeval forests. A fun tip is to mix up your tour with hiking, cycling and canoeing – easy to do here!
The area around Åsnen is an appreciated and popular nature destination! We are committed to developing the area in a respectful and sustainable way. This means that we all contribute to ensuring that the area can be experienced by our children and that the unique nature flourishes rather than wears out!
How can visitors contribute? Actually, in many ways! On this page you’ll find a map of the areas around the lake where you can stay overnight or rest and the services available at each location.
Several of the camping areas allow you to pay with a campsite cheque; these can be used in a number of different locations and cost SEK 50 per person and night 2024. The map shows who sells and accepts these as a means of payment; it also shows campsites and places to fill up water bottles. See each campsite’s website for prices.
By using the designated areas for overnight stays and rests, you can help to not overburden nature and contribute to the local community! Thank you for contributing with a sustainable visit here!
