Urshult camping is located right at the heart of Åsnen’s Apple Kingdom! In spring, the whole village takes on a pink shimmer when the fruit trees bloom, and there are many small farm stalls in the areas where you can buy direct from local producers. The campsite offers a lovely mix of pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans. If you want to add a touch of glamour to your stay, book the glamping tent and wake up to a breathtaking view of the lake from your double bed! Canoes, boats and SUP boards are available for adventures out on the water.

A nice daytrip is the ‘Day trip in western Åsnen’. From Urshult camping cycle northwards via Sirkövägen. In total the route is 60 km. It’s not signposted but is easy to follow with the help of the downloadable map. Just under 20 km of the journey is on a car-free cycleway and some sections are on gravel roads. Please note that the trail is not recommended for small children on their own bikes as Sirkövägen is narrow and shared by a variety of traffic!
The cycle tour takes you through old farming landscapes with beautiful fruit trees that take on a pink shimmer in spring. The tour is 8 km and runs along small asphalt roads. The trail is signposted at junctions and will take you past old cultural monuments, fruit orchards, places with locally produced food and drink, and a stop for coffee or lunch on the shore of Lake Åsnen. The tour starts at Lunnabacken where you will be treated to a fantastic view of Åsnen archipelago. Lunnabacken is 5 km from Urshult Camping.
Kurrebo is a colourful place with cultivations and a breathtaking view of Åsnen’s archipelago. It has a café and vegetarian restaurant, exhibitions, a shop selling plants and locally produced goods and art, and more. A number of accommodation options are available including a hostel and B&B. From Urshult camping to Kurrebo it is 5 km and the road is paved.
There are small and inviting farm shops all around Åsnen, selling products directly from local farmers, cafés, fishermen and craftsmen. There are many such places in the area, all within cycling distance, so take the opportunity to enjoy the foods, flavours and beauty of Åsnen!
